With the new energy plant in Aarau Telli, Green Power Aarau AG, with Eniwa AG as the main shareholder and leading force, is developing an energy center with a biogas plant to promote production and ecologize the gas supply in the region of Aarau. In the future, up to 100 tons of green waste from Aarau and the surrounding communities will be processed daily into ecological biogas for the region. The operation of the plant is planned to start in 2024.

To finance the construction and subsequent operation of the plant, for which the necessary building permits have been issued, a long-term credit agreement has been concluded with Aargauische Kantonalbank. With the new plant, Green Power Aarau AG is part of the Energy Strategy 2050 of the federal government and the canton and makes an important contribution to create value for the region as well as to build a secure, economical, and environmentally friendly energy future.
