This year’s SOLA Relay once again challenged the IFBC team both physically and mentally. Competing under the name “IFBC Lions,” our runners completed the demanding course in a total time of 10 hours and 51 minutes.

From early in the morning, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, nervous anticipation, and mutual support. Each stage brought its own unique challenges: steep climbs, fast transitions, changing conditions, and the constant task of pushing personal limits time and time again. Yet this is exactly that makes the SOLA Relay so special.

Whether on demanding forest trails, long asphalt sections, or the final meters toward the finish line, our athletes motivated each other, cheered one another on, and carried the team spirit throughout the entire course. Particularly impressive was the energy and commitment each individual contributed to the team’s success. Because although every stage is run individually, it is ultimately the team performance that counts.

After the relay, this collective achievement was celebrated together during a relaxed team dinner.

Another special highlight was the support from our retiring IFBC athlete Desirée Steiner. Having her accompany and support the team one more time during this event made the day even more emotional.
